Array By Hampton® Launches Connected Door Lock with Geofencing

Array By Hampton, the industry's most comprehensive suite of smart home products, today announced the release of its flagship product, the Connected Door Lock. Powered by the Array by Hampton app, users can create personalized schedules and automations that trigger actions off other Array devices, like having their Array lights turn on automatically when the door is unlocked.

“Grounded in security, the new Connected Door Lock from Array By Hampton offers homeowners peace of mind by allowing them to remotely lock and unlock the door and check the lock’s status even when no one is home,” said Julie Ernest, Hampton’s vice president of marketing for Connected Home and Commercial Door Hardware Products. “The Array By Hampton app integrates geofencing technology, and allows homeowners the option to have their door automatically lock when leaving and unlock upon returning.”

The Connected Door Lock can be used with a traditional key, locking and unlocking from a smartphone, or with the hidden keypad. Users can create custom codes for everyone in the home or one-time use codes with the app. Owners can schedule for times those codes can be used, limiting access and eliminating the need for spare keys. The Array app also has an activity log to see who accesses the home with their code and when.

The Connected Door Lock works with iOS and Android devices and can pair with Amazon Alexa or Google Voice Assistant for a hands-free experience. Compatible with existing Wi-Fi®, the lock is easy to set up, includes a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that can last up to 1 year on a full charge, and features a 5-pin, ANSI grade-2 locking deadbolt cylinder with anti-pick features for maximum security.

For those that live in an apartment or rent or simply just don’t want to bother with replacing their door lock, check out the Array By Hampton Revive™ retrofit lock, available for pre-order. The Revive retrofit lock upgrades any existing door lock into a smart lock by only replacing the interior side, making it easy to install and uninstall when it's time to move. Revive connects to the included Remote Access Hub for remote operation and track activity through the easy-to-use Array By Hampton app on an iOS or Android smart device. Add the optional keypad (sold separately) and create custom user codes for more security.

Hampton Products Acquires Commando Lock to Expand Portable Security Portfolio with Military-Grade security systems

Acquisition increases US-based manufacturing capabilities and technology

Today, Hampton Products, a leading provider of residential and commercial security, door hardware, builders hardware, cargo management and portable security products, announced the acquisition of Commando Lock Company, a Michigan-based manufacturer of military grade padlock systems. Hampton currently produces portable security solutions with its Brinks, and BenjiLock brands.

Commando Lock was founded in Michigan in 2006 with a mission to make a better, more-secure padlock in the USA. Founded by a 3rd generation tool and die craftsman, Commando Lock used a progressive stamping and assembly process unique to the electric motor industry and applied it to padlocks. This was immediately disruptive to traditional lock manufacturing methods, creating a better product in less time.

Hampton Products Names Greg Gluchowski President and CEO

Leading provider of security and hardware solutions, Hampton Products International, has appointed Gregory J. Gluchowski, Jr. as President and CEO of the company. The firm has previously been under the leadership of Kim Kelley since 1990. Kelley will transition to the role of executive chairman of the board of directors and remain a full-time employee.

“Our search for a strong and innovative leader to take Hampton Products to the next level led us to Greg, who is committed to meaningful product innovation, operational excellence, and unparalleled customer service and value,” Kelley remarked. “Greg is a proven leader and we are confident he can build on our strong cultural and business foundation to drive meaningful business and organizational growth.”

Gluchowski brings 20 years worth of industry experience to the role that consists of serving customers and driving profitable growth. In his most recent position, Gluchowski held the title of President and CEO of The Hillman Group, Inc. from 2015 through 2019. During that time, Gluchowski was credited with growing the hardware solutions provider into a $1.2B company. He also led the company through four acquisitions and transformed its core business structure. Further down his resume, Gluchowski acted as president of the Hardware & Home Improvement Group (HHI) of Spectrum Brands Holdings Inc. from 2010-2015. During that time, HHI’s Kwikset, Baldwin, Weiser and Stanley-National Hardware were among the top-selling brands in their respective categories, and Pfister was a top-five U.S. faucet brand. He also oversaw the development and debut of Kwikset Kevo smart locks as well as other innovations.

Gluchowski earned his MBA from Indiana University and completed his undergraduate studies at Purdue University. Since 2015, he has served as an independent director with American Outdoors Brands and UniKey Technologies since 2019. He previously served on the board of directors of Milacron Holdings Corp and of several regional non-profits.
